Learning Japanese

Learning Japanese

Using the Fluent Forever method and app to build practical Japanese—short daily sessions for reading, writing, and speaking that stick.

Study

Why Japanese?

It connects drifting culture, travel, and community. I’m following Fluent Forever’s science-backed approach: learn sounds and spelling first, build personal vocabulary with images, then lock it in using spaced-repetition and speaking practice.

  • Daily rhythm: 10–15 minutes in the app + quick aloud practice.
  • Skills: kana reading & writing, core phrases, “phrase mining” from videos/music.
  • Tools: Fluent Forever app (SRS flashcards), simple shadowing, short recording drills.
  • Goal: confident basic conversations at events and travel.

Study Framework

Keep it consistent and lightweight: short daily loops, weekly kana focus, weekend review—and keep it fun.

🗣️ Daily Practice

Shadow-listen and repeat aloud. Build cards from phrases you’ll actually say at the track, at shops, and while travelling.

🧰 Tools

Fluent Forever app for SRS, plus simple recordings to hear yourself improving. Add phrases from real media you enjoy.
